Author: hewells4003 Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/surnames.wells/5153.1.1.1/mb.ashx Message Board Post: I found a George Washington Wells in Wilkes county that was born in 5/5/1905, father was James Martin Wells and mother was Darcus Day Wells. There were like 10 kids. The George Washington Wells born in 5/5/05 seems to be on the prison census for 1930, he was in the 1920 census as 15 and the one in prison was 25 and both are white, so I think that may be him. It seems that all the Wells siblings have birth certificates from Wilkes County, New Castle, but I am not sure where New Castle NC is.
