One of the sons lines came through Cambridge, Washington County, New York. In fact, Capt. Joseph Wells and his brother Edmund brought their families there after the Revolution. I have been working from Edmund 1618 forward and also from my Rachel Wells (1832 - Warren County, NY) back. This is the line that I have been tracing: Edmund to Thomas Wells/Grace Wright(b. 1658) to Thomas Wells (b. 1694)/Elizabeth Merrill to Edmund Wells (b. 1721)/Mary Howell. Thomas & Elizabeth had several children including sons Edmund and Joseph who moved from Hebron, Tolland Connecticut, to Cambridge, Washington, NY. There is a lot of information in the Family Tree section about the various families connected to this line. There is also information in the Barbour Records about these families in Connecticut.
