My grandfather was Lloyd Alford Wells. He had three brothers, Howard, Robert, and Raymond. Then one sister Wilma. We believe that Wilma married into the surname Goff or Gauff. They were the children of Richard Andrew Wells and Garnet Weakly. According to Richard's World War I draft card his date of birth was 17 Aug 1886. According to the 1910 federal census he was born in New York, but his mother's birthplace was Missouri and his father's birthplace was Ohio. In 1920 he reported to the census that he was born in Missouri. So far I have not been able to find any evidence of parents for Richard or Siblings. I have been trying to find a good copy of the 1900 or 1890 Oklahoma and Indian Territories Census but so far that has not been successful so if anyone knows some good links for that I would appreciate it. I also checked the Dawes rolls for Richard, but di! d not find him there although there were a surprising number of Wells. If anyone has any information on Wells from the area and the time I would love to hear from you. Thanks in advance. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
