I have the 1930 census that shows Ervin as his son but I do not think Ervin was his 'biological' son! Lydia was married to a Nelson Towner in 1915. I have not been able to find a marriage record for Harold & Lydia. If I've done the math correctly, using info from the 1930 census, Harold is age 37, married at age 29 = marriage year about 1922. Also if he had been married just 8 years and Ervin is listed as 12 yrs. old, I am really thinking that Ervin is not his biological son. Neither of the obits I have for Harold & Lydia has a date of marriage for them. >From the WW I draft registration for Nelson Towner he is still married. I have a possible 1920 census for a 'Harry' Wells in the USN in CA and he is listed as age 27 & single. I believe several years ago I had made a connection with your mother but having computer problems & moving to where I had to change my e-mail provider I lost contact with her.
