Her brother,Zachariah posted Bond. Their father was William Wells and Juda Unknown of Georgia. William was the son of Zachariah Wells who was farrier in the revolution. He did have a pension. His probate papers are in Whitley County. They identify the family members. That Zachariah was the son of Jacob Wells of Virginia. Her twin sister was Eulah! They were born in Newark, Arkansas. Eulah married and moved to Lansing, Iowa. My grandma later moved there because they were so lonesome for each other. Eulah died at a young age due to TB which she contracted from her husband. My grandma and her husband (Arthur Miller) took in some of their children. My mother has told me all of this. She is 96 yrs old and in amazing mental and physical health. My grandma Beulah Wells Miller lived to be 103 yrs old. She was an amazing woman and I have very fond memories of her. Maybe Oklahoma City......the family story is that Frank, Francis Wells left on horseback from St.Louis, Michigan with the two young boys for OK. Apparently, only one of the boys came back to St. Louis, Michigan. Noone knows why they left the family to go to OK, where they went, and what happened to Francis and his other son. The family story is that the two were shot off their horses. There is more family lore to this but we need to find where they finally went. Their graves are missing from the family plot. Wells TALBOT, (Oregon) June 29 1936 Funeral rites were held Saturday at Independence for Emmett Elsworth Wells, 65, who died at his home here last Thursday. Interment was in the cemetery at Buena Vista, where Wells was born. He was the son of William and Cynthia (Vanderpool) Wells, Oregon pioneers and among the first Polk county settlers. Survivors include the widow Amy; a daughter, Mrs Alda (wife of Albert O.) Rosentreter of Oswego; two nieces and two nephews." Newspaper not named on the clipping. Not mentioned is that Emmett had a band at Talbot in 1927. I would like contact from any of Emmett's relatives. Albert Otto Rosentreter was my great uncle and I inherited photos of some Wells through him.Emmett's first wife Carrie was Alda's mother and she went on to marry Joe Bickner of Oswego, OR.
