Thanks for the site, Pat. I think we of group #06 and lineage...are all following this....The Indus valley is not in India now but Pakistan. At least the river runs right down the middle of it. That could mean, at one time, it was all India...I need to get more information on Dr.Spencer Wells study in that area...3300 BC findings have been noted in the area..Not that this means anything genealogical at this time...but it is fun to speculate..DYS#394 (12.15) means we are special....Carolann On Sat, 22 Oct 2005 17:39:44 -0700 "Patricia Straube" <straube@earthlink.net> writes: > This is a very interesting turn of events, Raymond. Don't ask me why a little kid wanted to save this, I guess I've always been interested in old stuff. And so, I've been the caretaker of this piece of family history for ages, and now it's time for it to find a new and caring home. About 1980, I made copies of the Bible, and sent it to the "Genealogical Helper", and made copies for folks, etc. As things stand now, I don't have time to make more copies, if you need a copy, please write to the Library of Virginia, I'll send them a digital copy. Condition for this is, well, it's pretty worn down, but holding together well.

This is a very interesting turn of events, Raymond. I've been trying to educate myself on its significance especially since I have to write an article for the The Aaron Wells Family Association newsletter explaining it all. I did find an informational website: Welcome to the Y Haplogroup G Web Site http://home.comcast.net/~whitathey/indexg.htm Looking at some of the strictly scientific sites, it seems that there are subgroups of G. Were you given any information about this? Our Wells family group is full of surprises. Has anyone ever explained the significance of 12,15 at DYS#394? This double number appears to be unique. She was born Susan Dee Rodriguez in Portland, Sept. 11, 1943, and lived her entire life in Oregon. Susan passed away on Friday, April 22, 2005, in Arizona. Sue died of natural causes at age 61. She was traveling and visiting friends, her passion in life, when the God she loved, called her home. Sue is survived by her two children, Jim and Kelli; and four grandchildren, Julie, Jordan, Austin and Hayden; and her two sisters, Linda and Judy. Her family's happiness and security were driving forces in her life. She was a "rock" to her family, and was counted on for support in times of need. She particularly enjoyed being a grandmother, taking her grandchildren on trips, and spending time with each one. Sue was passionate about life; the one she lived on earth, and the one she knew was waiting for her. She was a tireless worker as an ER nurse at Kaiser Sunnyside Hospital. Her friends and family described her in many ways: "She wa! s a missionary, without being a missionary... She was a great listener and gave great advice when we needed it. She told you what you needed to hear, which wasn't always what you wanted to hear... She had a voice and a countenance of an angel - warm, comforting and compassionate... Although many of us called her our best friend, she treated everyone as her best friend. She knew no strangers." And for some, she was a warrior, defending in truth and love, the spirit of anyone in times of trial. You were a special woman, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. All of us will miss you and we will always be thinking of you. You are in our prayers and we look forward to being reunited someday. A service will be held honoring Sue's life at 2 p.m. on Friday, May 6, 2005, in Trinity Fellowship Church, 2700 SE 67th, Portland. Published in The Oregonian on 5/6/2005.
