    1. Re: [WELLS-L] 1 day free access to Origins Network
    2. Did anyone from the Wells group find new information on the Origins Network. I was able to access the site late last night. I found that they had a glitch which prevented many people from being able to log on most of the time. I did not search for Wells as I don't have enough information on my line to be accurate. I have more information on another line but still was not able to come up with anything at this time. I had sent an e mail to their helpdesk and received a reply this morning and understand from that they perhaps they will allow free access again some time. Let's watch for that. Mary Beth

Surnames: WELLS, LILLY Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/SCWBAIB/4575 Message Board Post: I am searching for a WELLS man (first name unknown) who married a Rebecca _________? abt 1880 in WV county unknown. (I am guessing maybe in Fayette County.) Rebecca and her WELLS husband had Oscar WELLS, b. Mar 1882 WV, Mattie Lilly WELLS, b. 27 Jul 1886, WV, and John WELLS, b. Feb 1889 in WV. Rebecca married Ballard P. Lilly and is in the 1900 Census, WV, Summers Co., Talcott Dist., ED 133, Sheet 9 line 14, pg 165. A marriage date I found on World Connect is 24 Feb 1897 (I haven't been able to find a source for this date). We have two possible birth places for Mattie. When her oldest daughter died, she gave her birth place as Minden, Fayette Co. WV. When Mattie died, her son gave her birth place as Dorfee, Clay Co., WV. I figure Mattie would know better where she was born than her son, so that is where I am looking, but haven't had any luck so far. I know that this is a long shot, but does anyone have a Wells family that fits this discription?

    2. Me too. I don't believe they intend to give free access at all-just get names and addresses to send offers too. Maybe I am wrong, but I got the same thing you did when I tried to access something. Too bad!! Mary Beth

    3. You are not alone there, Mary! I had no better luck here, either. I signed up also and obtained the "Free Origins Total Access - Sept 4th" status under my details' page at OriginsNetwork, but when trying to access the British or Irish Origins I also got the: "You are not currently subscribed..." and, just in case anyone wonders, I am already on Sep 4 under my time zone. 2. Does anyone know the Henry Wells that at one time owned a Strawberry farm in Duplin County, I believe he has a son, David Wells. There may have been others in the family, but I don't remember the names from talking to my relatives.. My grandfather told me he used to work on the Wells farm. I am sorry, I don't have any dates of the Wells men. Does anyone know where this Strawberry Farm was located? Just curious. Alice West Ferguson ..W53 WEST DNA PROJECT Descended from SIlas L.
