Joy or anyone else. It's been awhile since I last asked, does anyone have any inkling of who Thomas H. Wells b. abt. 1822 belongs to? The earliest I can find him is in the 1850 Mo. census. Where he came from before that I haven't a clue. So far I have not been able to find any probate, land or any other records on him that would give me a clue. I think there is a possiblity he could belong in the Zachariah Wells group because he names a son Jacob W. Well b. 1844 and Jacob Wells names a son Thomas H. But I can't find any proof. Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks, Vickie Achieve hormone balance! Get off prescription drugs! He was married to my ggrandmother, Emma Jane Turner. The time of the marriage would have been 1880-1890. The Indiana 1880 census has her living at home with her parents under the name of Emma Jane Shofstall, with a 2 yr old child. Aparently this marriage did'nt last long , 'cause later she married John Wells, This marriage may have lasted a few years. Emma then George Snap, After that she married my GGrandfather Josiah H. Burrows. After he died seven years later, she married Charles Poteet. Just trying to put all the pieces together. Can't seem to find a marriage record in Indiana, Missouri or anyplace else. This may have been in Clay County in Indiana, maybe. FYI, she finally arrived in Southwest MO. where she died, age 65 Thanks in advance
