Her residence was given as Ashland,Ky." This is confusing I have William Wells died 1907. How could there be an obit from 1834? I do not have any children or siblings for William named Margaret. Did you receive the death info on William I sent your personal email yesterday? Contact me via email. Maybe between the 2 of us we can sort this out. Her residence was given as Ashland,Ky. She was the widow of Gabrial Adam Lopeman. Children Howard Ray (changed name to Charles Martin),Frank, Lillian, Sarah, William, and James Harry. William is said to have died in Wheeling, WVa. She was married Margaret J. Wells and Gabrial Lopeman in 1875, Jefferson Co, Ohio. I only have birth around 1858 and death caft 1890. Daryl Homes probably knows more. I had sent her info years ago and told her I'd pay postage and for copies of what she found on the Wells family but I never heard from her after awhile. I have only that William was born Dec 13,1827,Monongalia Co,Va. Married Margaret Marshall. I could do some checking. I have alot on Thomas but not on the others. Take it back Just found more on Maggie: She married Robert Gabriel Adam Lopeman Aug 7,1875 son of Alfred Lopeman and Sarah Stivison. He was born 1855 in Pa or Steubenville,Jefferson,Ohio and died c1890 in Jefferson Co,Ohio. Author: tomd42028_1 Surnames: Wells, Heinescheid Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/surnames.wells/3636.1.1.1.2.1.1/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Cathy, Thanks for your response. Being retired, I don't have the problems you've been having, but I am still interested in what you have on Lewis H. Wells, etc. I looked him up in the 1870 and 1880 U.S. Censuses, and it seems to me that he indicated that his father was born in England. I have not, however, checked the family's 1850 entry to see if this could be confirmed. If so, it would completely change my strategy of looking for Condon (Corydon?, Cosidon?) Wells. I do have information on Eliza's ancestry to way back when the family was Heinescheid, or whatever, and would be happy to share it with you. In any case, best wishes to you and all yours. Sincerely, Tom Donnelly Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. Wells 1955-1997 is on the Social Security Death Index. He lived in Middlesex, NJ. There also is an obit for him on Obitsarchive.com. It will cost you about $3.95 with a credit card, but you'll have it ASAP, once your credit card clears (a few seconds). Also, they will e-mail it to you within seconds, if you check the box. I know his obit lists the names of Joan, Alan, Karen, Ricky, Heather, and Tammy. Gordon and Peter were not listed. If you don't want to spend $3.95, then try the newspaper. Sometimes their obits are on line that far back. Star-Ledger, The (Newark, NJ) - June 30, 1997. Put EVERY name, date, place, etc., in that obit in your genealogy program. It's a start and I hope this helps. Good Luck. Nancy Wells McDonald. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. Albert Lonzo was born in 1877 in Red Colony, Sevier Co, Arkansas and died April 27th, 1914 in McCurtain County, Oklahoma. He married Caldona (Caldonia) Chapel Franks in January 3, 1903 in Sevier Co, Arkansas. They had two children: Albert James Wells, born October 3rd, 1903 in Oklahoma and Homer Willis Wells, born February 3rd 1905 in McCurtain County, Oklahoma. I have the Wells family tree traced back only as far as Dutch's father and there is some dispute on that. But I do have all of Dutch's descendants if you would like them. Author: jbrabbs09 Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/surnames.wells/5069.1/mb.ashx Message Board Post: M.Wells, Albert "Dutch" Wells was my great great grandfather. I have that his father's name was William and his mother's name as Malissa Ann Doshier not Susie and Sam. But I have seen sources that cite his father as being Samuel, I am confused on that aspect. But William or Sam was born in 1847 in TN, he married Malissa on June 13th, 1869 in Franklin Co. Arkansas. And Malissa was born in 1843 in Sebastian Co. Arkansas. Now, the names may be wrong as well as Malissa's birth date. But their children are listed as Cindy, who died young, William, b. 1871; Thomas, b. 1873; Albert Lonzo, b. 1877 although a few sources say '76; and Joe, b. 1879. I am pretty sure that this is the same family. I have the Wells clan of Dutch's descendants if you would like it, you can send me an email at [email protected] if you would like a copy.
