yeah maybe some day. The DNA came back a perfect match with the Wright surname, and I found a lot of them in Jefferson county. In a message dated 7/16/2009 5:48:30 P.M. Hello Wells Family, I have a request that will help me, and hopefully others. Instead of simply hitting reply to a Wells rootsweb message, please consider deleting all of the old text within that email except for maybe a few parts that specifically deals with your email response. I've been trying to read through them the past couple of days, and I've gotten a bit confused, not being able to tell what is new information, or just a re-run of an earlier post. Some of you may be new to emailing and list-serves, so I understand it takes some getting used to. I hit reply, and then left click on the mouse and highlight the part one doesn't want to resend and hit delete. Please don't take this note as scolding (in fact, I'm not in charge of the group...just a faithful reader/contributor), but as a kind request . :) Thanks to everyone's posts because that's how we learn the connections. EVERYONE, please keep all the posts coming! :) Sincerely, Melanie

Henrietta must have been close to Yuba. I am sending George's obit. I have a Wells photo from Loyal Wisconsin But it is unmarked. Maybe he traveled there with some other Wells's, I don't know that for sure. Some of George's family did move back to Ohio. They lived in Bergholts area in Jefferson County. Found at the Historial Society in Madison, WI. Newspaper.....Richland Rustic dated Jan. 15, 1904. George Wells was born near Slaine ville, Ohio. July 7, 1835 and died Jan. 10, 1904, aged 68 years. 6 months and 3 days. He was the son of William and Rebecca Wells. June 10, 1867, he was married to Martha Elliott, of Carol county, Ohio, and to them were born fourteen children, 8 daughters and six sons, thirteen of whom, with his wife and one brother survive him. In 1872 Mr. Wells with his family, came to Wisconsin and located, first in the town of Forest, then near La- Farge and finally in Henrietta, where he died. For some time past Mr. Wells' health has not been robust being afflicted with heart trouble. On Monday, Jan. 4, while prosecut- ing his daily duties he was smitten down with paralysis which six days later terminated in death. A kind husband and parent and good neighbor has been removed from us. The fun- eral service was conducted at the house Jan. 12, 1904 by Rev. Benjamin Nott, Ph. D., and his body is interred in the cemetery at Yuba In a message dated 7/16/2009 12:47:36 A.M. Eastern Daylight Time, [email protected] writes: Never heard of Henrietta, WI. Where is it?
