    3. Thanks so much Ken ... it has been a long time, but I still enjoy. In fact, I just uploaded the newest version yesterday. I still have some cleaning up to do. But, as my son says "keeps me off the street and out of trouble" ... My W015 brick wall is James Wells b: 13 Mar 1792, but first proven even is Dec 1810 when he marries Persis EARLE in Chester, Windsor, Vermont. I did find he was mustered into the War of 1812 in Madison County, NY. They owned land but the records for the purchase (hoping it was inheritance) were burned in fire at Court House. I do kind of wonder since the county was originally part of Albany Co. ... I guess I am on to another 'hunt'. I found the information on his service through an application for land bounty. It was quite complete. Someone a long time ago attributed this family to James, but I still can’t get the paper documentation to prove past Edmund and Benjamin.  There are MANY Richard Wells in Ky in this time period. I will check some more and see what I can find. 3. Wonderful! Is there someplace I can access that information and save you a little bit of time? I haven't been able to figure out how to get access to the Wells project? I'm happy to pay membership dues or whatever the necessary steps are. Thank you! nicole ________________________________ From: [email protected] <[email protected]> Sent: Tuesday, December 3, 2019 12:40 PM To: Nicole Mauser-Storer <[email protected]> Cc: [email protected] <[email protected]>; Dan Bracey <[email protected]> Subject: Re: [WELLS] Re: Wells List and Family Association This line is in Ky at the same time as mine. 3. Thanks all! The connection I'm trying to figure out is this: I have a Richard Wells who married Helen Wells. Wells was her maiden name and her dates are 1775 - 1826 in MD and PA. Helen's parents are Alexander Wells and Leah Owings with Alexander the son of James Wells the immigrant from what I can determine. I'm having a bit if a challenge proving Richards parents. Everything I read says that he and Helen were cousins (makes sense if both have the last name Wells) but I can't find a document that proves the linage or dates for sure for Richard. I tentatively have thathe is the son of Thomas Wells and Elizabeth Howard with Thomas the some of James the immigrant. That makes sense, as their daughter in my line is Elizabeth Howard Wells who married Thomas Patterson and ended up in Nebraska. You all seem to be such a wealth of knowledge that I thought maybe someone either has proven this information or could point me in the right direction to look ???? Thank you so much, and if there's something I can do to help the group please let me know Nicole ________________________________ From: Vicki Cox <[email protected]> Sent: Tuesday, December 3, 2019 11:25 AM To: [email protected] <[email protected]> Cc: Dan Bracey <[email protected]> Subject: [WELLS] Re: Wells List and Family Association Nicole, I am a Wells from several lines. First, William Wells Sr is listed as Hon. William Allen Wells, son of William Allen Wells and Sarah Westmoreland and W167. This is completely wrong. I don't know why this was changed. William Allen Wells and Sarah Westmoreland are/were W013. No DNA match at all, can't possibly be related to William, Jonathan or John Allen Wells who are/were W032. Did the DNA family numbers change? Also there is absolutely no documentation that shows that William's middle name is Allen other than people taking the Allen from the misinformation that William Allen Wells is his father. As a matter of fact there is documentation that shows that William's son, William Wells Jr. has a middle initial of "P". John Allen Wells is not the son of William Allen Wells and Sarah Westmoreland. Again W013 vs W032 unless the family numbers changed that I'm not aware of. There is some documentation that John Allen's father was a William Wells that fought at Valley Forge with Washington. There was a second William W Wells from PA that also fought at Valley Forge: >Valley Forge Muster Rolls Personal ID: PA11004 Last Name: WELLS First Name: WILLIAM Suffix: Rank: PRIVATE Rank Type: RANK AND FILE Ethnicity: Brigade: 4TH VA BRIGADE Company: CAPT ALLEN MCLANE State: PA Regiment: PATTON Division: 3RD DIVISION This would seem more likely his father. Please let me know what's happening with this line and make the appropriate changes. 1. [WELLS] Re: Updated version of Wells DNA Surname Study Merge Database
    2. Michelle Wisniewski
    3. Hi Lady Bonita, There are several issues with Wells line W032, specifically William Sr, Jonathan Sr and John Allen Wells. Thank you, Michelle Wisniewski -----Original Message----- From: Lady Bonita Sent: Thursday, June 6, 2019 12:00 PM To: Lady Bonita Subject: [WELLS] Updated version of Wells DNA Surname Study Merge Database FINALLY . I just uploaded the newest version of the Wells DNA Surname Study Merge Database. I have attempted to add corrections and complete data from marriage, burial, census records . but, as I updated, I found new people (typical genealogy).
