OK, here is what I have... My grandmother, Ernestine Weit, born in 1875 in Wala Ragosza (spelling?) in Galicia, which was part of the Austrian Hungarian Empire. I know that this town is now in Poland - I will get the correct spelling, but it sounds like this and I found it online. She had at least one brother, name unknown. She married Otto Krautwurst around 1906, and they lived in Vienna and in Berlin. As far as I know, their only child was Robert Krautwurst, my father. He was able to leave GermNy in 1933 and made his way to the USA the day that World War II started. I was born in NYC and my father changed his name to Kay.
