My husband's family is riddled with Weeks on both sides of his family. His mother was Weeks, they came from north Florida, but, I believe that the original Weeks to come to the US was from Scotland and probably named Ebenezer as there were several Ebenezers in the family. His ggrandfather's name was Ira Ebenezer Weeks and was called Ebb. That's how he signed most everything and how he is listed in the census'. Guess the census taker couldn't spell Ebenezer.
