Hi; Yes, both John A's were lawyers. It states that they are known to be descendants of Francis Weeks of Oyster Bay. I find a couple of Johns associated with Francis, but not sure how they fit in. One John had an only son named Nathaniel who died without issue. Another ..John sr. in will of Nov. 15, 1748 and proved in 1757, names wife Mary, sons George and John, and g. daughters Mary wife of Josephh Lattin, and Mary wife of Jacob Townsend. Another.... John sr. in will dated 1781 names wife Rebecca; children Jane, John (deceased) , Augustus, Anne, Elizabeth, Judah, Ruth, Charlotte; grandsons, William, Refine, John; d.-in law Elizabeth. I hope I have not really confussed you...Sorry I can't help with any wives surnames.
