Hello Rona, Sorry, I don't exactly fit, not really sure yet the area of my Weeks line origin in the UK. But I do have a number of lines from Dad's maternal lines in Kent, Sussex, Essex, London, West Country and Nottingham as well as other parts of England, Scotland and Ireland. I lived in Farnborough working for about 3 years in the 90s and was able to do a little gen digging, but not as much as I had hoped. About a year ago, I started a Weeks Surname Study Group at FamilyTreeDNA com, using Y-DNA analysis to help in our gen research. Currently we have about 20 members of the group who have done their tests, but have only USA and Canada members at this point. We would certainly welcome any Weeks/Weekes/Wicks males in the UK into our group with enthusiasm, as all of our members suspect or trace their paper gen to different parts of the UK. I have found a new cousin with a 25/25 match on our Y-DNA markers, so we know that we have a common ancestor within about 400 years. And my "deep ancestry" indicates northwestern Europe, so probably Vikings!!!! Anyone interested can contact me for the information needed.
