First, I don't show any Morrells in my genealogy, but that doesn't necessarily mean anything, considering I have numerous dead- ends. Also, my genealogy was written in 1896. I have a Ora Jessie Weeks, b 15 Dec 1890 at Hartwick,NY, son of Fremont C. Weeks and Louisa Pashley. No further info on the line. Fremont was the son of David D. Weeks, b 1830, and Mary Harrington. They had 4 children. David D. Weeks was the son of David Weeks, b 1782; d 1867, and Cornelia Conklin. They had 8 children. David, Sr. was the son of Andrew Weeks and Anna Dorothy/Dorothea/Dolly Shaver (dtr of Johannes Schaeffer & Elizabeth Daniels). That's the closest I can come at this time. I know next to nothing about my Andrew Weeks older brothers. So, your family could be through one of them, possibly Bisset/Bizet Weeks, who, along with his younger brothers, came to America abt 1773, from Scotland. The middle brother, Zechariah, "was a sea-faring man, who later in life settled in one of the New England States, probably Vermont." Bisset/Bizet settled "in New York State, probably on Long Island." So, your family could possibly be Bisset's. I've not yet found anyone connected to that line. I'm sorry I didn't have more info for you. Let me know if I can be of further help.
