Weeks 1770 NC - 1845 Franklin Co., TN Samuel Weeks was thougth to have been born in 1770 in Perquimen's Co., NC. He married Anne Jackson on 5 Sep 1788 in Green Co., GA and by 1790 he was living in Baldwin Co., GA. His father is thought to be William Weeks, who sold him property in 1791 in Green Co., GA. By 1804 he had moved to Putnam Co., GA and is on an 1813 tax roll there. By 1817 he had moved to Franklin Co., TN where he died on 6 May 1845. In 1840 he was listed on the Franklin Co., TN census as living in the Pond and Mountain District. After his first wife died he was married to Patsy Noah on 4 Apr 1842 and then to Levina Chasteen on 20 Nov 1843. The following children are thought to have been born of his first marriage: John Weeks Jeptha Weeks b. 1790 Baldwin Co., GA Margaret Weeks b. 1790 GA Peter Holder Weeks b. 1793 Putnam Co., GA Sarah K. "Sally" Weeks b. 1796 Putnam Co., GA Rev. Wiley S. Weeks b. 1798 Jefferson Co., GA Mary Weeks b. 1800 Putnam Co., GA James Monroe Weeks b. 1801 TN Samuel (Bysa) Weeks b. 1904 Putnam Co., GA William Benjamin Weeks b. 1805 NC The birth places are in conflict due to differing sources of information. His sons all moved to Alabama and Mississippi. I am a participant in the Weeks DNA Project and have found some matches already with one that ties into GA but have not identified the common ancestor. In order for me to continue I need lots of help with the GA connection. Hopefully someone else is researching this same family. Thanks very much. J.D. Weeks
