I spent 4 years in the UK, noted the many Weeks/weekes/ etc in the cemetaries. I am a Weeks and have traced my lineage to 1798 (my great great grandfather) in Beaufort NC. I know the English were in North Carolina from 1583 or so...I have tried, so far unsuccessfully, to make the jump from the US to the UK...where I am certain I have ancestors. But.....so far only back to 1798. I think I need to get back at least one or two more generations to get the clue I need.
