Thanks everyone for your responses to my query. I just wondered if there was anyone interested in the name outside of the US. My search starts with Ellen WEEKS born 1861 in Little Cheverell. She married James BLAKE who was born in Avebury abt 1859. My link is through the Blake family. Ellen's parents were William WEEKS b.1828 in Market Lavington and Sarah ? b.1835 in Little Cheverell. They appear to have had 5 other children after Ellen and I would dearly love to find out what happened to them. I have nothing on this line prior to that. To you Nigel, I have not found a connection with Tilshead and Potterne but they are both very close to Lavington. I visited there last year and even managed a trip to the 'lost' village of Imber; most interesting as it is not on any map now I believe. I would welcome any observations. I am relieved to know that the Weeks tribe is worldwide. thanks again Raymond
Hi Raymond I'll keep a look out. now live in Salisbury but have a lot of links with the Erlestoke (but not WEEKS) and am often searching the parish records. If I come across any WEEKS in Lavington I'll let you know. I was brought up in Potterne and know the area around about very well regards Nigel ----- Original Message ----- From: <ZENXAN@aol.com> To: <WEEKS-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Friday, June 06, 2003 7:38 PM Subject: Weeks in the UK > Thanks everyone for your responses to my query.
