Raymond, My Weeks(or Weekes) line comes from Sixpenny Handley, in Dorset in the UK. My ancestors Richard Weeks and his wife Mary Ann (nee. Bradley) sailed to Australia in 1837. As far as I can tell there have been no ancestors who went to the US. Nee basically means formerly, meaning that was her maiden name. ----- Original Message ----- From: "cpendley" <cpendley@cox.net> To: <WEEKS-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Friday, June 06, 2003 11:06 AM Subject: Re: Weeks in the UK > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Peter Weekes" <pete99@smartchat.net.au> > To: <WEEKS-L@rootsweb.com> > Sent: Friday, June 06, 2003 11:02 AM > Subject: Re: Weeks in the UK > > > My ancestors Richard Weeks and his wife Mary Ann (nee.
