    3. Thanks for this URL, though I am not sure it is our Marion Weeks, I am thinking he has to be related to our other family that was in Reynolds County. I'll be doing more research on this one. The Marion Weeks I am looking was born in about 1849 to Gamlia 'Gamblin' Weeks and Julia Jamison Carty Weeks. Gamblin was sheriff of Reynolds County Missouri from about 1848 to 1856?-57?-58?, then he and Julia seperated, (not sure if there was a divorce, records are gone so there is no way of proving either way) and he arrived in Van Buren/Pope County Arkansas and married Faner/Fanier Garner Yancey in December 1858. He joined the Union Army as a private at age 67-68, in 1863 and died in Cassville Missouri in August 1864. The story we have on our Marion is that sometime about 1870 he was shot and killed, and his mother, Julia Weeks is living with a different family member for that census. I would be thrilled to find more information on this line.
