    3. Hello Marge: I, too, am a Weeks researcher in Canada. Several of us have been attempting to link our branch of 'Weeks' to those originating in the Weschester, Oyster Bay area of New York. The general assumption has been that the patriarch of our family is one Jonathan Weeks of Bedford, Westchester Cty, New York. His will is found in Abstracts of Wills, Vol XII, 1782-1784, page 318; naming a dtr Hannah Weeks, Sons Amos, John and Lewis. Our line - not proven well - is the son Amos Weeks, arriving in Upper Canada We have data saying our Amos Weeks, born 1774 Westchester Co, New York, was given land grant in UC. This Amos died May 1828 in a drowning accident. His sons were Daniel, Amos, Joseph , Walter and poss a Silas or Cyrus . No clue as to Amos's wife, whether married in Can or New York. Have you come across any of these names in your data? Heather

    3. My husbands gg grandfather was Anthony Weeks born 1821 Westchester NY but the name Lewis keeps popping up. His daughter's middle name was Lewis and she put her father's name down as James Anthony Lewis on her Mother's death certificate. I thought she had put his last name down wrong, it is a fact it was Weeks and she carried the Weeks name herself as did her mother and the civil war records plus their marriage license and the census's. So now after reading your post I believe it was either his father's name or Mother's maiden name and passed on to her. They were all born in Mt Pleasant, North Tarrytown, Westchester County NY. Do you know anything about the children of Lewis Weeks? Do you have a copy of the will? Is it at the Westchester Library? Where can I find a copy of this family tree? thanks Loni ----- Original Message ----- From: "Heather Williams" <heather.williams@shaw.ca> To: <WEEKS-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Tuesday, February 08, 2005 11:20 AM Subject: Weeks of Oyster Bay > Hello Marge: > I, too, am a Weeks researcher in Canada. 3. Heather For Jonathan WEEKS, I see a Jonathan who m Abigail WILDMAN Their dau Elizabeth m pos in 1761 Silas BENEDICT. I think Jonathan also m a Jerusha, but don't have much there, axcept that they had a dau Mary. Another, or maybe the same, Jonathan WEEKS had a son Bartholomew who had a dau Mary. If this sounds useful, we could check sources (or lack thereof!) Joseph WEEKS and Hannah LEWIS had a dau named Hannah WEEKS. The name Lewis WEEKS intrigues me because of Hannah (above) Marge (----- Original Message ----- From: "Heather Williams" <heather.williams@shaw.ca> To: <WEEKS-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Tuesday, February 08, 2005 12:20 PM Subject: Weeks of Oyster Bay > Hello Marge: > I, too, am a Weeks researcher in Canada.
