    1. Trying to identify a Weeks widow
    2. Jane Gilbert
    3. Hi everyone, I'm hoping someone out there might be able to help me solve a Weeks mystery. The following tombstone can be found in the beautiful old Gilbert Cemetery in Giles County, TN: Cynthia Weeks 4 May 1785 24 June 1840 I have reason to believe this Cynthia may be the sister of my gggg grandfather Thomas Gilbert who is buried in this cemetery along with many of his children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Thomas, who was born in Newberry Co., SC in 1773, had a sister Cynthia, but I only have record of her marrying two men, John Reagin Jr. and Jacob Lewis. Her second husband died when she was only 40 years old, however, so it's quite possible she remarried again. And I know there was a Weeks family in Newberry County in that timeframe also. I could find no Weeks census listings in Giles County in 1830 and 1840 so that was no help, and there were no other Weeks burials of help. Can anyone help me identify this Cynthia Weeks? I'm surmising right now that she could be thrice-widowed of my gggg grandfather, and that she moved to Giles County after the death of her third husband to be near her son Caleb C. Reagin who also had moved to Giles Co. Unfortunately she died right before the 1840 census was taken in Giles County, so I can't confirm that. Her second husband died in 1825, so her third marriage obviously would have taken place after that. Thanks for any help you can provide! Jane Gilbert
