    2. Ron, The Weeks line that I have all come from Weekstown, NJ (improperly named Weeksville, NJ in the records on Ancestry.com). I have a cousin who's done a lot of the work (Stroble) and for some crazy reason (I think to trace who's using his work) changed Weekstown to Weeksville. (He's just a little strange anyhow). At any rate, I'm working from Franklin Henry Weeks/Edith Lizzie Sharp, my paternal grandparents. Franklin was born 6/18/1883 and died 7/14/1957. Edith was born 10/7/1888 and died 11/13/1975. Franklin Father was Daniel Weeks, born 1844 and died 1916.. He was married to Rebecca M. Camp, who was born 3/18/1849. There were 6 children in that family, Elizabeth, Anson, William, (1868), Belford, Walter and Franklin. I don't know if this helps any.....this branch of the Weeks family tended to use Biblical names all over the place, and each generation seems to have used the same names through their individual families. So much so that the DOB is the only clue to which generation a particular name belongs to. I'll look in some of the other papers that I have to see if I can find anything else that might "put you on a trail". I do know that there's a Weeks Plantation, still in operation in Louisiana. I haven't tried to make the connection that exists (if any does) there. Family lure says that there were two Weeks brothers that came over here in the early/mid 1700's. One of them, ironically, drown getting off the boat in NYC. Ah, it's a proud family, even if unlucky. The survivor wandered into New Jersey, and thus begins the saga of Weekstown, in Egg Harbor Twp, Atlantic Co, NJ. Weekstown, last time I was there, (10 years ago), hadn't changed a bit since I was a boy, and used to go visiting my great aunts and great uncles who lived there, and in Green Bank, and Lower Bank....all in the area. (read late 40's and early 50's here. I was a wee small tyke). Well, good luck. I'll do some more looking, and let you know if I find anything that might be of help. ----- Original Message ----- From: <MoparLAW@aol.com> To: <WEEKS-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Sunday, January 20, 2002 4:29 PM Subject: Carlisle > Carlisle > > What, when, and where do you have a line on the weeks? > > My dad can't remember where or when his dad was born. > > I know he was in the Troop B 6 th.
