    2. Marge, Thanks for all the Rebecca WEEKS info.. Unfortunately none are mine. I'm beginning to think she may have married a WEEKS before she married Reuban TAYLOR. Altho" she would hae been very young. I have a JOhn TAYLOR b. 3 Nov 1762 in Norwalk, Fairfield Co., CT> who died C 1798 in Baltimore, MD. I have no wife for him. This info comes from the Taylor book and a few wills, etc. If you ever find Rebecca while you're looking for your Alexander, please let me know. I have no Alexander WEEKS in my files, but that file is very small. Thanks again. Earlene Hutsell eroch25@aol.com

Rebecca WEEKS, b c1790, d/o Silas WEEKS, b 1758, and Elizabeth RUSCO There was a Sarah BENEDICT, born March 6, 1762, who married in 1780 John TAYLOR, a Revolutionary war soldier from Danbury, Connecticut. This family was connected to WEEKS families. Would he be connected to Reuben TAYLOR (below)? 1. Phosyladus Weeks
    2. For several years, off and on, I have searched for my great granduncle who my grandmother called "Phorciladus." He was a son of John Weeks (son of Elijah Weeks and Margaret Thompson) and Margaret Thompson (daughter of Matthew Weeks). I believe that I have found him in Floyd County as Phosyladus. Information on the Floyd County US GenWeb has his listed as a son of Alfred Weeks. Alfred Weeks was a brother to the John Weeks named above. In 1850, both Alfred and Phosyladus were listed in the household of Elijah and Margaret Weeks. Every member of this household except Phosyladus (the name is spelled Fasilous) was born either in Bedford County, Virginia or in Floyd County. Phosyladus was born in Carroll County. John Weeks and his second wife, Susan Huff, along with four of his children by Margaret Thompson are listed in Carroll County. My theory is that Margaret died giving birth to Phosyladus about 1843, or shortly thereafter and that Phosyladus was taken back to Floyd County for his grandmother/aunts to care for. One can only guess why John didn't go back to get him after he remarried in 1846. By 1860, John and family were in Collin County, Texas. Phosyladus was still in Floyd Co. living with Alfred, but he is always listed near the bottom of the family. In 1860, Phosyladus was 17 years old and may have chosen to remain in Virginia instead of moving to Texas. According to census records, Phosyladus remained in Floyd County all of his live. John moved to Washington County, Arkansas and is found there on the 1870 and 1880 census. I would like to hear from anyone who has an interest in this family. Margaret McCleskey, Arlington, Texas

    1. 1700s/BROOKER/MYRICK/STINSON/EDENFIELD/OrangeburghDist/Winton/Barnwell Co.
    2. Dear Pam and others on the lists, Re: Orangeburgh District/Winton/Barnwell Counties/Allendale, South Carolina area 1700s-1800s Surnames: BROOKER, MYRICK, JACKSON, EDENFIELD, STINSON, NIX, (only 1 name w/marriage mentioned) with (Rev.) John BROOKER, III & Mrs. Jemima NIX WEEKS WEEKS, (only with a 2nd marriage briefly mentioned) Good morning. The email , (from Pamela and shown below my message,) which I am responding to was generation on the Orangeburgh District, South Carolina list but I am sending my response also the BROOKER, MYRICK, JACKSON, NIX, WEEKS, and STINSON lists as well since these marriages married into the BROOKER family with some of these names marrying into each other numerous times over the migratory trail. The BROOKER family research is still relatively new to me and still very confusing but after researching and communicating with various of the branch researchers it appears to me that your information is about a generation off....please....anyone else out there with more of a 'handle' on this please correct me where needed and if you can add to this PLEASE jump in. With several men named John and several ministers and other multiple given names it is confusing. But the John BROOKER who married Leah ?, (don't know about a marriage to Mary ?,) is as shown further below this simple chart as I have it: According to what I understand the progression of the men named John BROOKER in this branch and despite the fact that this may not have been the first John in this lineage I will begin with I/Sr. for the 1st listed and so forth: Generations: Generation 1: (Reverend) John (1) BROOKER, I/Sr., (immigrant,) b: Abt. 1725 in England? (immigrated w/siblings, Joseph, William, and (Unnamed Sister)) (Children of this (Reverend) John (1) BROOKER, I/Sr.: Mary, (Son,) John (2) Jr., Joseph?, Sarah, and William BROOKER Generation 2: (Reverend) John (2) BROOKER, Jr., b: Abt. 1760 in ?/VA?/SC?/England?, md: Leah ? Generation 3: (Reverend) John (3) BROOKER, III, b: August 09, 1780 in South Carolina, md: Mrs. Jemima NIX WEEKS Generation 4: John (4) BROOKER, IV, b: Abt. 1800 ************** Now back to the children of Generation 1: (Reverend) John (1) BROOKER, I/Sr., (immigrant)...I don't have any further information for the son referred to as (Son) BROOKER nor do I have any more information on the son named Joseph? BROOKER. BROOKER Generation 2: Mary BROOKER born: Abt. 1745 in Orangeburgh District, South Carolina died: Aft. 1814 or Aft. 1822 in Barnwell County, South Carolina (Orangeburgh District became Winton and Barnwell Counties and area called Allendale also same) md: James MYRICK, (PS/Rev. War,) born: Abt. 1740 in Orangeburgh District, South Carolina died: May 27, 1814 in Barnwell County, South Carolina (contrary to reported speculation that he was the son of Richard MYRICK, I believe that this Richard MYRICK was his brother along with a Henry MYRICK and that they were the sons of John MYRICK, b: 1705 in Surry County,VA, who was the son of Rebecca CARROLL? and Francis MYRICK, Sr., b: Bet. 1665-1675 in Surry Co., VA, son of Joan ?/THORPE?, (1st wife,) and Owen MYRICK, Sr., (aka MEYRICK and MERRICK and other spellings,) born: Bet. 1630-1650 in England or Virginia, who was involved with Bacon's Rebellion and married 2nd wife, Mary GREEN(E,) (widow of (Sir) Francis GRAY(E.) James Myrick Sarah b. abt. 1788 Rebecca b.abt. 1790 My ancestor was John, Jr., who was also a Baptist minister in the Orangeburgh area.
