    3. Hi Stella. Hang onto your perch a bit longer. I have an Albert George Weeks born 1886. OK so his christian names are round the wrong way but this often happens. His parents were Amos Weeks (1851) and Mary Ann Luxford (1859) Amos' parents were Andrew (1809) and Elizabeth Young. I don't know who he married though. I haven't investigated this branch at all but are any bells ringing with you? Looking forward to hearing from you. Rona. 1. lost photos, please help, SC
    2. Denise Mangel
    3. Back in the late 1970's or early 1980's my mother took framed pictures of her parents to someone living in Spartanburg, SC near where the Reidville Circle used to be. I was with her that day and I believe the last name of the person was WEEKS. My mothers name was Barbara Ellen LEE. Married (1) GOSNELL, (2) HUMPHRIES, (3) WELLS. I don't know if the person she left the pictures with was family or friend. My mother was an only child and she died in 1985 and I am her only child. The pictures were of Clyde LEE and Mary GRAY LEE. They were very old pictures. Clyde died in 1937(killed by a train) and Mary died in 1935 when my mother was born. These may be the only pictures of my grandparents and I would love to find them. If anyone can help please contact me. Denise deemangel@hotmail.com

    1. Need Rebecca's parents
    2. Even after searching for over 25 years, I still dn't have the parents of my 4 ggggrandmother. Her name was Rebecca WEEKS, and she was born in 1735 in Norwich (Norwalk?) Ct. She married Reuban TAYLOR in 1858 in Norwalk. After moving several times, they ended up in Falls, Wyoming Co., PA. where they died, he in 1807 and she in 1839. Since it's been so long that I have been unable to find her parents, I am wondering now if she had earlier married a WEEKS man and was a widow when she married Reuban. Any help of suggestions would be most gratefully apprciated. Thanks. eroch25@aol.com

    3. Dear Barbara, From what I have learned one Weeks family lived in Oyster Bay, Nassau, Long Island, New York and there is a Weeks cemetery there. Some also moved upstate at one point along with other in-laws like my Carpenters. There are still Weeks living in Oyster Bay though, I believe, at least they were there in the 1960's when I lived there also. They married into many local families. I would check Oyster Bay genealogy. They originally came from Massachusetts. I have found lots of family in the Greenwood Cemetery. Lovely place especially in the spring. Kerrin

    3. Dear Kerrin, You might try looking for Weeks families in the Greenwood Cemetery. Some of mine are buried there. My gggreat-grandfather, John A. b. 1800, d. 1880 is there. I noted other Weeks families there as well. I've hit a dead end with my NY Weeks prior to him, although it appears his mother is in the same family plot. There is a headstone that says Elizabeth Weeks, Mother, d. 5/7/1863 at about age 93. John A. had three ch. John, Joseph and Sarah, md. Berlin. Does anyone out there have any NY Weeks with these names or relatives whose dates may dovetail ? Thanks ! Happy Hunting to us all ! Barbara

    1. Isabella Weeks
    2. Lynda Langston Fredendall
    3. I've seen several references to the name Isabella in the Weeks list. My Isabella Weeks was born 1815 in Louisiana or Tennessee. She married Samuel W. Horton in Washington Parish, LA. They were in Missisippi for a few years and then went to San Augustine Co., TX about 1838. They had 11 children. She died after 1856. A researcher many years ago thought she might be the daughter of James Weeks and Sarah Kipp of New York. But I think I have discounted that through research. Anybody out there know about Isabella? 1. ANN "VIANER" WEEKS
    2. Linda
    3. My HUGE brick wall is Ann "Vianer" Weeks, my gggrandmother. The first record I have ofher is in 1850 on the Perry County Tennessee census. She's enumerated with Rebecca Weeks age 60, Lafayette Weeks age 20, Vianer Weeks age 23 and James Weeks 7 months. In 1860, none of them are in Perry County nor anywhere else it seems. Then in 1870 Ann (as she is listed this time) is back in Perry County with children William age 18, Frances age 12, Wiley age 8 (my great grandfather) and Charlie age 4. In 1880, she's still in Perry County with all the children except William who is married. After 1880, Ann completely disappears. I have no idea how Rebecca, Lafayette and James are related to Ann, or if Weeks is Ann's maiden name or married name. I have not been able to find Rebecca, Lafayette or James anywhere after the 1850 census. In the same area in 1850 is a Louisa Weeks living with a family named Randle, and an Elizabeth Rebecca (Weeks) Comstock. I do know that her oldest child William was the illegitimate son of James Swindle and in 1860, when she disappears, William is living with his grandfather Caswell Swindle and is enumerated with the Swindle family. Do any of these names ring a bell with anyone??? Thanks, Linda -- No virus found in this outgoing message. Checked by AVG Anti-Virus.
