Hi, Marlene. Pleased to see a message from a UK researcher! My Webbs were from Kilkenny, Glos., then moved to Sherston, Wilts. For a while I assumed that the Kilkenny was in Ireland! My gg and g grandfathers were both called John Webb. Little is known about the former (he was the Kilkenny one) but I know quite a bit about his son, my great grandfather. That John (Smith) Webb married a Kate Wilcox, of Sherston, but they moved to South Wales for work in the late 1800s. Both Johns worked on the Easton Grey estate, as grooms, I believe. Would be happy to share information with anyone who thinks they have links.
