    3. I'm really rather amazed at all the WEBB DNA controversy. Does no one appreciate all the time and effort that has been involved on Anne's part to coordinate the DNA project? Does no one appreciate all the time and effort that has been involved to put together the data and the Website? Does no one appreciate all the time and effort that has been involved to put out the newsletter? Does no one appreciate the time and effort Anne has spent answering dozens (probably more like hundreds) of emails and her efforts to try on get reluctant people to participate? Does no one appreciate all the time and effort that has been involved in trying to assure them of their privacy and the benefit the results will help to provide in the long run to WEBB related research in general. What it seems like is that there are some, who are not participants, and some who are, who would like to somehow circumvent, Anne's great efforts. As if somehow that were going to help rather than undermine the efforts. This seems to be an extremely short-sighted effort focused solely on "what can it do for ME". I would strongly suggest that you will be MUCH better served in the long run if you were to try and help Anne rather than try and undermine her and the project. Thanks Anne for your incredible contributions of time, energy, and I'll bet money too. I do appreciate your foresight and efforts and I believe ultimately probably many of your critics will also. 3. Any surname DNA project ( is ) specially important. This is one reason for the new list. If people just be patient we will have a place for those interested, and those not interested.
