    3. Hello all you Webb ancestors !!! I started searching my husband's maternal Webb line several years ago. Along the way I have been in contact with several Webb cousins. I give all the info I have in order to "get it out there" in hopes some new info will "come back". Many times this has proven positive. If the info doesn't "get out there" how can one expect any back ? I have noticed all the same given names it makes me dizzy. William L Webb (possible his middle name was Ellefort) b. Apr 1842 Mo with parents reported on census to have been from TN (perhaps lived there and not born there). William L Webb married Harriett "Elizabeth" Flick 15 June 1871 Clark Co.,MO. They had 11 children with only 6 living to adulthood. William L was a barrell hooper who bought (or leased..haven't found any land deeds) land to use the wood for his business and then moved on. He has been seen living in Clark, Lewis,Ralls and Marion counties in MO. Last seen in 1900 census living Hannibal,MO as a stone mason. William L's daughter Bertie Ellen Webb Jessup (my husband's Grandmother) found her father dead while cutting wood. That was before her marriage date Sep 1904 in Hannibal,MO. It has been passed down that William L is buried in the cemetery on the side of the hill where Lover's Leap is. Through much research (and down right begging for info) no death date nor burial spot has ever been found. His wife remarried 1920 (Howard Lee McQueen) and they are buried in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Hannibal,MO. Supposedly, William L's siblings are: Charles WEBB John WEBB George WEBB (wife's name Mary) Elizabeth WEBB (husband's name Higdon) Rebecca "Becky" WEBB (husband's name Dwyer) Louisia WEBB (husband's name Epperly) Elisha WEBB Now, is anyone out there connected with these WEBB names ? I am not writing a book or selling info but just want to "connect the dots" and see how far back it goes. I will (and have always) share any / all info I have. Please contact me: [email protected] Sincerely, Karen Castle P.O.
