    3. This is all of the other references I have to him: Pleasant appears in court records in 1785-1787 in Rutherford, Country, North Carolina. Rutherford Co., NC "Wills & Misc. Records" 1783-1868 by James E. Wooley, [published Southern Historical Press - 1984] which shows 2 references to a Pleasant Webb: [p.2] Book A, p. 13: 21 Dec 1785: Proved in open Court. I, Richard Coleman, in consideration of £100 to me paid by William WEBB, have bargained, sold one Negro named Milly, commonly called Betty. Wit: Burgus (x) Liles, PLEASANT WEBB. /s/ Rich. Coleman. p.2] Book A, p. 15: 14 May 1786: Proved July Court 1787. "This lye bill proved in open court and ordered to be recorded as follows". "This is to certify that I Abram Clinton and John Simmons do acknowledge that we saw no harm between PLEASANT WEBB concerning a cow & that it is a lye that we said of him". As witness our hands this 4 May 1786. Wit: Richard Coleman, Burjes (x) Liltes. /s/ Abram Clinton & John (x) Simmons. 1790 Dec 8. Rutherford Co., NC Thomas Herrison of RCNC to WILLIAM WEBB of same, 80 pounds, 250 acres of Second Broad River granted to Stephen Howard 2 March 1775 (150 acres sold to Thomas Baker and from Thomas Baker to Thomas Herrison, and 100 acres adjoining on Muddy Branch). Wit: PLEASANT WEBB, WILLIAM WEBB, JR. , Jonyne Heatherty. #976.
