    2. Felicia, rather than relying on information you can get on the net - go to your local library, and study the census, wills, land deeds, etc., in the name of Webb. After 1850, all names of families were listed in the census at each house, rather than just the head of household, as it had been before. If you can find a death certificate for her, at her local court - house, it is supposed to have the names of her parents, although this does not always happen. To tell you what you chances are of accidently hitting someone who knows, my ancestor (my brick wall) is named John Webb. There are 12,000 listed on "Family Search" which is the largest genealogical record in the country, belonging to the Latter Day Saints, or Mormons. Rootsweb has a good Webb surname board, also, tho you may have tried that. However, when you are in a hurry, and if you want to get it right, written records are better than the net. I have seen a LOT of mistakes listed there. I wish you good luck. Irene Webb Dorsey, NC P. S. A lot of those Tennessee Webbs were originally from NC, - for one reason anyone who served in the Revolutionary War was given land as a reward, and it was usually in Tennessee.
