    2. Lyell, This is looking better and better. One family story said that one brother (or the father, we never could figure out which) worked the coal mines of Pennyslvania for a while. And William Douglas Webb's mother was supposedly an Indian. I'll bet anything we're tracking these old boys down. I'm leaving town for three weeks next week (I'm a mystery novelist, and I'm starting a big book tour - you can check my website at www.bettywebb-mystery.com), but I'm going to try to check my email from the road. I don't know yet if that will work - I've never done it that way before. But I hope to stay on top of this. When I get back from my tour, I'll hit the Mormon library that is only 15 minutes from my house and see what I can come up with. I don' t know where you live, but I'm touring through Tucson AZ, Las Cruces NM, Abilene TX, Austin TX, San Antonio TX, Houston TX, New Orleans LA, Tupelo MS, Birmingham AL, Blytheville AR, Memphis TN, Oklahoma City OK, and Flagstaff AZ. If you're anywhere near any of these cities, perhaps we could get together and compare notes. I've got a book I've been preparing about the Webb line, and I'll have it with me so I can do some work on the road. Your very possible cousin, Betty Webb
