I have no answer but do have an old bottle given to me by a friend in our archaeological society. Round bottom (for shipping colas & fizzie waters as well as beer), "blob top" (a piece added after the bottle was made, for the top), two side seams (made in two halves & put together). Imprint says: Webb's Doublesoda & other waters By Her Majesty (this line is covered w/ocean corrosion, came from a wrecked ship & ended up on Fla beach) Islington London I tried every bottle book I could but could not find the history. Also wrote London archives, history, etc. for anything on this company history, hoping for a link but no response. I understand Islington was a near-by city but now a suburb of London? Your 1904 date is beyond the date of this bottle, wh/appears to be mid-1800s. May not help your genealogy part but might shed a light on the history surrounding. If you find anything, would you please share?
