Lyel, I think your Samuel is my gg-grandfather William Douglas Webb's brother. William Douglas Webb was born in New Hampton (Orange County) New York somewhere between 1810 and 1815. According to family legend, his father was married more than once. He had "four brothers who went West." One of them, we believe, wound up in Pennsylvania. Please contact me so we can compare notes.
