    1. Re: [WEBB] William & Lucy Payne Webb, Bedford Co., VA
    2. Dear Josh -- Maybe I'm grasping at straws, but some of the names/locations you're researching appear to connect with some of my brick walls. My gg-gf Ferdinand W. BEARD, b 1817-18 Bedford Co VA married Mary Wyatt HOWELL 1841 Monroe Co. MO. No direct proof as yet, but I odds-and-ends of various documents strongly suggest he's the son of: Robert M. BEARD and Nancy C. WEBB, married 1809 Franklin Co VA, then migrated to Monroe Co Missouri by late 1830's. Nancy C. WEBB is the eldest daughter of Theodrick WEBB (b. 1749) and Sarah HUFF, married abt 1770. Theodrick WEBB's will, proven 1807 Franklin Co VA, names wife Sarah and six children: daughters Nancy, Jane and Ursula; sons Theodorick F., Creed and Bird (Burd). Executors and guardians to his children: Jacob Webb (Theodrick's brother) and Henry T. Callaway; Witnesses: Thomas Thompson and William Greer. Wife Sarah (Huff) WEBB later marries (?) George WALKER. Brothers Theodorick F. WEBB and Bird (Burd) S. WEBB also migrated to Missouri. Burd S. WEBB married Polly E. BEARD. Some descendants of these folks are later found in Kansas, Kingman and Sedgwick counties. Again, I don't know if any of this connects, but hopefully, some of the info will provide you a lead or two. -- Candi Beard Nation Subj: [WEBB] William & Lucy Payne Webb, Bedford Co., VA Date: 7/2/01 9:59:44 AM Central Daylight Time From:    jdean@concentric.net (Josh D.
