Is any one out there related to the Webb family of Sullivan County, TN? One's inparticular are George Webb Jr. and daughter Jane Webb. Jane Webb b. abt 1810+ married John Himes/Hines. In John Himes' will he leaves the use of his land to Thomas Carroll (b. 1827)...and After Jane Webb Hines dies..then it is to be sold and procedes to go to Jane's father George Webb Jr. (decd.) heirs..and to Johns Hines Sister, Susannah Himes Hughes heirs, and to his sister Pollie's Hines Cross's heirs...but John did state that there were notes owed toThomas Carroll that were to go directly to Thomas Carroll after John died....there has to be a reason for all this consideration on John Himes part to Thomas Carroll. ALSO, I find that an Annis Carroll and her Husband George S. Hicks received one acre of land from John Hines..What is the relationship between the Carroll, Hines, and Webbs? Does anyone know the answer? Forgive me on not posting dates..I don't know them..My guess is mid 1800. By 1880 Thomas Carroll is living in the Hines home with Jane Webb Hines and John Hines is dec'd.. Thomas lists her as Mom in law..I can't figure that one out either...Jane Webb and John Hines are thought to be Childless and if there were children they were not named as heirs..The Carroll family was also related closely to the Hicks, Cox and Boyd's also of Sullivan County, TN..
