    1. Re: [WEBB] Early NC Indian Trails
    2. Hi Jan and others! I should have said - I found the Indian Trails map on this URL: http://ncnatural.com/maps/ There are others that are of interest also- In reply to your question on a map of TN - I have a new site under construction at - www.eastes.org (It isn't completed yet). If you go there and click on "Elisha" you will find a Figure 2. A portion of a map of TN in 1795. Figure 2 shows a portion of a 1795 map of Tennessee, courtesy of the Tennessee State Library and Archives. Only the east end of this map is shown as it contains the information relative to our traveling ancestors. Some additional labels have been added for more detailed identification of landmarks. The Great Indiana War Path ran past Roane Co., Tennessee and went northeast to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The Wilderness Trail ran north or northwest through the Cumberland Gap and into Kentucky. This Trail varies in distance depending upon which reference is used. When completed there will be a map under "Obadiah" on the Eastes Site that shows the location of abt 71 forts and Stations in KY. I hope to have this map up in the near future. Best Regards Roy Eastes
