    3. Winnie: These are the letters I sent to Eva and Doris this morning. Doris: I just sent Eva my history except I did not tell her what counties I suspect my John Webb came to Mid TN from either Edmondson, Warren, or Butler KY Counties. I suspect Edmondson Co. will be the right one. My family emigrated to Ballard Co. Ky and the southern end of Ballard Co. became Carlisle Co. KY. in 1886. My family is just north of the Hickman Co. KY line and part of them were actually in Hickman by the time Carlisle became a formal County. I met Nonnie Webb in Jasper TN that plans a Webb Reunion the third Sunday in Aug every year. It is held at NickJack Dam area off I-24 Exit 158. This year will be her 28th. If you are interested her phone no. is (423) 942-5486 and her e-mail is nwebb@vol.com Her story is that 5 Webb brothers in VA emigrated to Ky and turned south into Mid- TN in the Mid 1700s. One of the brothers settled in the Mammoth Cave area and he has a John Webb that could be the right age as my John Webb b 1781-1890. His father was Merri Webb. Memo to Eva follows: Eva: I would be interested in trading names if we can make a connection. My family emigrated from Mid-TN into western Ky about 1854. The earliest I have them is 1811 in Williamson Co. TN when my ggg grandfather John Webb m Martha Patsy Landrum there. John Webb died about 1834/1835 and Martha died in 1842 in Rutherford Co. TN. I found her grave site at Mt Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery near Rockvale TN. One of their sons Lewis E. Webb was living with his sister Rebecca Webb Woods and her husband John Woods and their children in Henry Co. TN. 1850 Census. Lewis m Susan Adaline Halstead two years later on Sept. 16,1852 also in Henry Co. TN. I have 4 generations of Webbs buried in Arlington Ky, I'll be the 5th. I have a brickwall with my John Webb. I don't know who his parents are nor where he was born. His daughter Rebecca Webb stated in the 1880 Ballard Co. Ky Census that her mother ( Martha Patsy Landrum ) was born in SC and her father was born in Ky. Her brother, my gg grandfather stated in the same census in Hickman Co. KY. that both of his parents were born in TN. We found out this Feb. that Rebecca was right about her mother (SC) so my guess she will be right about her father(KY). Rebecca was 11 years older than her brother. Rebecca b May 9, 1819 and Lewis b Feb 1, 1830. If any of this sounds familiar to you then I will be willing to exchange names.
