Ed, I am a member of Ancestry'. I do find it beneficial. I DID NOT give my card on the 'net however. Nothing against Ancestry, I just have a policy of not doing this. Ed, Do what I did. Call Ancestry.com at their 1-800 number and tell them that you would like their free trial, but you dont have a credit card. I also am a member of Ancestry and am well pleased with the site and the constant updates. I find the annual fee far cheaper than my gas to & fro + paying parking downtown. HI, I paid for a 3 month subscription to Ancestry.com. Just before that time was up , a representative called me to see if I planned to renew. I told him no because I didnt find enough information that I needed. I received 3 more charges on my credit card, each 3 months apart after telling them to cancel. Maybe that info will help you.
