    3. I have an Albert WEBB...However, my family is an African-American branch. My ancestors geographical locations do include AL (Pickens and Lee County among others), MS, TN and GA. We apparently are affiliated with Warren WEBB, Charles WEBB Cidney Jane WALTON, HOWELS, ROWELS and RUFFINs. From some notes I sent to a fellow researcher, I wrote: "...while I have not yet located the proverbial smoking gun which would list any of them as slaves by name anywhere, I think I know who my WEBB ancestors "belonged" to. I believe they were the slaves of Ruffin WEBB (b1810-d.?) who married Sarah STARR (1830 in GA-1877). Ruffin was the son of Warren WEBB (1785-?) and Cidney Jane WALTON (1788-1826). I also believe that the aforementioned Amanda (my great-great-grandmother) came into the WEBB family thru Ruffin's marriage to Sarah STARR (from GA). I hope to prove all of that one day! If any of these names/places ring a bell, I would love to share info with you. Reva Lovelady <rneluv@npgcable.com> wrote: Webb Marriages - AL/GA/TN Just saw the NC/SC marriage postings. What great info for some of you. I am still looking for any/all information for a Thomas A. (probably Albert) Webb born approx. 1850-60) in GA married an Elizabeth Swanson (parents were supposed ly a Henry Swanson and Annie Grey also born in GA) born in Atlanta, GA in 1858. Can't find Thomas in any census records. Thomas apparently died sometime between the birth of his last child (I assume) Mary A. in 1897 in AL and the 1900 census when Betty Webb is listed as a widow. Possibly found my grandfather, Albert Thomas, born April 1880, in Roane, TN, in the 1880 census living with a Henry Webb and listed as something other than a direct relationship....no Elizabeth or Betty Swanson or Webb in 1880. No 1890 records of course. Then have Albert in 1900 living with his mother Betty in AL with other children...and Betty listed as widow. If any of this rings a bell with anyone, or you run across records someplace, would greatly appreciate any and all help. These Webbs are a mysterious group!!
