Has anyone found descendants of the Richard Webb of Hartford CT? Did any of them move to Stamford? It seems he came from Newtown ( now Cambridge, MA ) with Rev. Thomas Hooker and was listed as one of Hartfords first settlers. See ( http://www.colonialwarsct.org/1636.htm ) There was a Richard Webb mentioned arriving (with wife Elizabeth) on with The Winthrop Fleet 1630 (as in Govenor Winthrop of Massachusetts ). Listed as a "Freeman" in Cambridge in 1632 ( same Richard? ) Biography of John Adams mentions a cousin Richard Webb going to Harvard. It seems there were too many Richard Webbs in CT. Can the DNA testing prove anything?
