Hello Listers, One of my "brick walls" is that no one in our family has ever had contact with any descendants of the brothers of our Lazarus & Eli Webb (Northumberland Co. VA> Warren Co. KY> Franklin Co. IL.) The two brothers in question are William WEBB born 17 December 1776 in Northumberland Co. Va. This is recorded in the St. Stephens Parish Register of Northumberland Co. VA. Charles WEBB born ca. 1780 in Northumberland Co. VA. exact date of birth unknown. They are the sons of Lazarus WEBB, sr. and his wife Leannah (WEBB). I have seen some transcripts of the 1782 tax list for Northumberland Co. that does indicate that all of the children of this family were still living. The 1894 biography for Lazarus and Eli gives us the names of William and Charles. The family relocated from Northumberland Co. to Charlotte Co. VA about 1785. During this time frame the children would have become of age and would have been starting out on their own. One sister, Elizabeth, we believe may have married in Scott Co. VA. At least that is the reference her descendants have. One of her descendants belive that one of Elizabeth's daughters returned to Scott Co. and several of her children were born there. Did the brothers also live in Scott Co.? In searching online sites I haven't found any listings or quarries that seem to apply to either of these men. Is there anyone on the list who has a WEBB ancestor from the VA. TN. KY. area by the name of William or Charles that they haven't made a connection? Dian
