He was kind enough to give me some hints as to where the Webbs settled in the South. He felt that they all came from VA and scattered to other states such as TN, KY, SC, NC and beyond. Most of them participated in military battles, thus the book that he wrote called "Born Fighting". I bought it in a bookstore, read it and sent it to him along with some photos of my father from WWII. He was kind enough to write a note in it and sign it. He also agreed that the resemblance of these two Webb men in uniform (he and my dad) were "uncanny". Now that he is a governor, I doubt if he has the time to chat as he did before. But, perhaps once he's used to the job he could answer some of your genealogical questions. I'll see if I can come up with his email address.
