Mike, do you have any proof of the tie to William Webb? Plesant and William were on several documents in Rutherford County NC together. Jerry, My Pleasant Webb, was born 1790-92 in Botetourt Co., VA and then moved to Livington Co., MO. His father, John Webb ( b. before 1765, died 1815, Giles Co., VA) deeded adjoining land to a younger Julius Webb along the Sinking Creek in Botetourt Co. (later part of Giles Co., VA). The younger Julius Webb witnessed John's will, but was not listed as a decendant, therefore I believe he was John's brother. There was an older Julius Webb who was excused from paying taxes in 1779 in Botrtourt Co., VA due to old age. There was a Julius Webb in the church records of Hanover Co., Va in the 1750's. Augustine Webb, b. 29 Aug. 1755 in Hanover Co., VA, enlisted from Albemarle Co., VA and lived in Botetourt Co., VA, according to his military records. He later went to Bullit Co., KY, where he died in 1835. There was a Julius Webb in Albemarle Co., VA in the 1760's as well as ( I am doing this from memory) a John Webb, who married an Ursula. I believe there was a John Webb and Ursula in Rutherford Co., NC. I always thought that the Pleasant Webb in NC could have been related through these people because of the similar names, but I have no proof.
