    1. The 2 Augustines
    2. Is there anyone out there who has any idea how the two Augustine Webbs connect up. Mine was born in Hanover VA in 1755, served in the Rev. War twice, married 1. Elizabeth ? and had four children: William, Mary (Molly) Jonathan, and Sarah (Sally.) He lived in Fayette Co., KY, Clarke Co., KY, Shelby Co. KY, where he married for the second time to Frances Ann (Franky) Webb. He subsequently moved to Bullitt Co. KY, where he died. Franky and Augustine probably had at least 4 children: Elizabeth, Frances Ann, Jr., Benjamin, and George Washington. I suspect that Julius was this Augustine's father. Julius was born in Spottsylvania but lived with his family in Albemarle Co. VA, and Botetourt Co. VA. The other Augustine was born in 1763, to William C. Webb, son of William Warren Webb and Milliam? This Augustine was born and died in Orange Co. MD. married Lucy and had a passle of kids. His last child was, I believe, born about 1812 in VA, so apparently this Augustine and Lucy never left Orange Co. Augustine 1 & 2 were both first sons, and if they were named as was the custom back then, they should have been named after their father's father. Augustine 1 had a sister named Millian, while Augustine 2 had a grandmother named Millian. Several other names in the families are also the same. Both Julius and William Warren Webb were according to the information I have both born in Spottsylvania Co. VA. With so many simililarities, surely these Augustines are related (at least cousins), but I sure would like to know how. Anybody out there have any information? Thanks! Pat in Ohio
