My name is Sam Webb and I am looking for a John Webb that married a Martha Patsy Landrum in Williamson Co. TN on Jan 15, 1811. I don't know where my John Webb was from (b about 1781-1790) or where he died. An old Family Bible says he died in 1835 somewhere in ILL while on a hunting trip. Martha was born and raised near Cross Key, Union Co. SC. Martha came to middle TN with her brothers/sisters around 1806-1810 in what is now Rutherford Co. TN. She and one of her Rev brothers John Landrum along with 14 other members of the Bedford Co. Enon Baptist Church formed the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church near Rockvale TN. about 25 miles SW of Murphysboro TN. John Webb and Martha Landrum were active in the Bedford Enon Baptist Church before John died in Ill in July or Aug 1834 or sometime in 1835. The Enon Baptist Church Meeting Minutes of Aug 1834 indicated John Webb had died or at least become incapacitated to the extent that he could no longer fulfill his duties as a Church Reprensative to the Baptist Association. John Webb was, suddenly via special meeting removed from the list of 4 Representatives after he had just been reconfirmed as a Representative earlier that same month. I don't know if he was ever a Rev or not, but he was very active in the church between June 1829 and Aug 1834. Please, let me know if you have any info (birth or death) on a John Webb that came to Middle TN probably Williamson Co. around 1806 - 1811. My email is samsbqa@bellsouth.net .....
