    2. Ottice Webb
    3. Since there are so many John Webb searchers, let me add mine. John Webb, probably born in Nasemond Co., VA. About 1714. Gets a land grant in Northampton Co., N.C. in 1756. Married to Mary ? His Will: Will book 206, page 305, Jackson, Northampton Co, N.C. filed Jan 11, 1778 "I John Webb leave to my loving wife Mary Webb, beds and furniture during her widowhood or life. To my sons Ethelred Webb, John Webb, Jesse Webb, and my daughters Mary Luter and Martha Webb, I leave 5 shillings Each. To my son Peter Webb I leave a bed and furniture, to be his at my death, and a horse and bridle, and a saddle at the age of 20. Said Peter to be clothed and raised out of my estate by my son Elisha Webb. To my son Elisha Webb, all the rest of my estate, real and personal, after paying all my just debts". Executor of my estate: My son Elisha Webb Witnesses: James Dancy, Robert Goodwith, William Horn. Elisha Webb is my 5th g-grandfather. I know nothing about the other children of John Webb, except that Peter died in Northampton Co. April 11, 1803. Elisha married Mary Pritchard, daughter of Swanson Pritchard. They had two boys, William and John. William is my 4th g-grandfather. He married Dorothea Winborne in Northampton Co. and they migrated to Madison County, Kentucky in 1818. It appears that they spent a few months or over a winter in Buncombe Co., N. C. on the way to Kentucky. Did William have family there? For more info on what I have, see my home page at: http://familytreemaker.genealogy.com/users/w/e/b/Ottice-G-Webb/index.html I suspect that some of the children of John Webb (1714) or their descendents went to Tennessee. Hey Webb searchers, can you make any connections to my Webb's? Ottice Webb Stanton, KY
