Becky, my William had a son between 20 and 30 in the 1830 census in Clay County, Illinois. Actually, there was a male in his household in that age bracket--I just jumped to the assumption that it was a relative. They were in Clay County. Unfortunately, I have not yet bought Dollarhide's census book....I mean to every day....so I do not know if the Counties are close by. By 1840 William has moved out of the county or died....he is no longer listed in the census for Clay County. But certainly the male in the household is the right age for your George W. Webb. He may not have been living in Greene County....he may have just been married in the county in which his bride lived. But that makes him pretty young when he died. Well....it sure is something to thinnk about. Marsha in WV BecMeinzer@aol.com wrote: > > James and Marsha-- > I too have a Webb in Illinois. His name was George W.
