Tom Chilton, I may be a cousin. I believe that my James Webb of Shelby County, KY. was the father of Richard Daron Webb that settled in Illinois in 1833. James Webb died 1813 in Shelby County from wounds received in War of 1812. Richard was the 7th child and moved to Illinois with his mother Jane Claxton Webb and other family members. I would love to share and trade any information on this family. We think we might have come from the Julius Webb family in Botetourt County, Va. I don't have much on my James but I do know that James and Jane is our family. My line is: James & Jane Claxton, James & Mary Puttoff Webb, Allen TaylorWebb, Leonidas Webb, Stella Webb Dixon, Dorothy Dixon Watson, Darlene Watson Ellis (me). I live on Webb Road in Simpsonville, Shelby County where James Webb settled in about 1795. I have a 2nd cousin that is my next door neighbor who is a Webb.
