Would love to know if this means anything to anyone! Paula Webb London PS. Has anyone come across any info on a Margaret Webb [domestic cook] who gave birth to an illegitimate son John Webb on 6 Dec 1904 at 78 Copenhagen St, Islington? She's my illusive great grandmother.
We had conversed once before re the Webbs in/around Islington & I would love to make the great connection across the pond. Is there any guidance you can provide as to how I might locate info on this Webb's doublesoda company that existed in Islington? A museum, historical society, etc.? Even bottle clubs/collectors generally would have some knowledge of the people who ran the company. Do you know: doesn't the words "for her Majesty the Queen" being printed on the bottle simply mean they were contracted or hired to supply this article to the Royal Household? Appreciate any guidance. Perhaps if I get something on the family, something will fall into place. Thank you for posting this listing! Very kind.
